I definitely like the CoolChip fan. Since it something we are likely to see sooner. It will certainly help for laptop cooling.
When all else fails, replace the user.

Whatever happened to Peltier cooling? I know there were problems with condensation but you'd think that could be overcome.

I keep hearing about new technologies, and they never make it to the mainstream.

As for Peltier cooling, the issue is that then you need to cool the Peltier. That takes more power & one thing that everyone is trying to do is reduce power consumption.
