I still have some 3 1/2 floppies, but have a USB 3 1/2 drive. Haven't used it in several years. Who would still need these?

Mainly companies with machines controlled by old PCs I would guess.

Old CNC machines still use them. Some even require custom formats too.

Exactly this. I have a stash of boxes of new floppy disks for some of the machines where I work. All of their programming still has to be loaded using CSV files and floppy disks.
