got a good deal going on a 1 tb deathstar hard drive .someone had a portable that was DOA and asked me to try and save . I called them back said its DOA. I could smell the burned stink and not spinning they said keep it .I open it up to find it was still under warranty. looked it up and got a RMA.so I sent it back today for under $5 shipping media mail to the RMA address . I know in a week a or so but looking like it be RMA at this point.
only had 2 months left on the warrenty ~ so if its returned I have a extra 1 TB laying around.. what I think happen is the guy wife screwed up the portable drive .she told him she lost the power cord . he had me order a power cord and payed me for it. found a new replacement on eBay for $14.00 shipped. when it arrived the portable drive didn't even light up. so I called him .said go for it open it up and see what I find .that was when I got a good smell of burnt .thought the power adapter may of fried. whe'll it maybe but also the drive it self smelled burnt and wouldn't spin up .using my portable drive reader that was when I went and looked and seen it still might of been under warranty .at that point I went to Western digital site punched in the serial number and they gave me a RMA . now just keeping fingers crossed and see if they ship me a new replacement.

the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.
