Image quality is very good, brighter than the other monitor, and the color feels quite a bit crisper. Skyrim and GW2 both look gorgeous. I just set it up out of the box without adjusting anything. Response time seems very good, though I honestly probably couldn't tell unless there was a drastic difference.
Build quality is good, stand goes up and down and tilts with good range. It will also swivel into portrait position. Overall, the monitor feels several pounds lighter than the Samsung. The base is not as heavy, but sufficient and the monitor is noticeably lighter. No bad pixels. It has 2 built in USB ports, DVI, inputs and other stuff. I haven't really looked.
If you're looking to replace/upgrade to a 24" screen, for $300 this is really a decent choice.
