Mini NAS

Post by RubberDuckie »

This is pretty cool. I have a netgear ready nas and it works great for my home storage. But this thing has pretty good potential for a "portable" NAS.

Uses laptop hdds for a nas.

That is pretty neat, though I never needed a portable NAS. Shame laptop prices have always been at such a premium. Not to mention, most people wanting a NAS will want terabytes of storage.

Good idea if you need portable data with redundancy. I think it would be a cool setup with 2 500GB drives mirrored.
