MSI Wind U100 Netbook Mini-Review

Post by FlyingPenguin »

A client of mine bought one of these, and I have it at home for a couple of days while I tune it up and install apps for him.

I recommended he purchase this particular netbook because it was recommended to me by some tech-savvy friends, and it had glowing reviews.

let me just say that if you are going to buy a netbook, this is the one to buy. It has a stunning bright screen, a decent keyboard (for a netbook), and it's a lot snappier than other netbooks I've played with (I've played with Dells and Asus netbooks).

It gets very good battery life with the factory installed 6 cell battery pack (MSI claims 7 hours, but 6 hours is probably more realistic). You can also buy a 9 cell battery pack through Amazon and the other usual places that will give you close to 10 hours.

All-around it's a very nice netbook. If I was going to buy one for myself, this would be the one. I have been told it's easy to upgrade the RAM in this thing to 2Gb and improve the performance even more.
