Good price. Yeah, that card should serve for quite a while.

Well guys, I just finished installing the new PSU. It was hell trying to get the old one out because of the limited space.

I'm working on installing the 4870 now. It's a pretty tight squeeze, but I got it into the PCI-E slot. The problem is that for some reason the card didn't come with a screw. The 4870 wobbles a little so I best put in a screw to secure it. I'm going to use the screw from my old X1600.

Also, the card requires two 6 pin cables. The PSU only has one but luckily the card came with converters that attach into the large 4 pin cables.

Nevermind, my case has a metal object that screws over all of the slots. I guess modern cases work like that nowadays. I couldn't get the metal object perfectly aligned so it looks a little skewed but the card seems pretty secure.

This is the last time I'm working in a mid-tower.

I've never seen a card come with a screw.

Different manufacturers have different ideas of how cards are supposed to be held. Though, personally, I don't like the clamp method that you have.

That card is a tight squeeze in any case, don't feel bad. Would you believe it's smaller than the GTX260?

Just try to work in a MATX case. That'll make you appreciate all the room in a mid-tower.
