Anyone using SSD disks?

Saw this on NewEgg:

I think I rather wait for minor improvements and price drops, but was curious if anyone has a SSD drive in their system.

Hmmm. That puts it squarely in the affordable range for a boot drive. I'm using an 80Gb Raptor as my boot drive right now, but 30 Gb is adequate (I used to use a 40). There's nothing on my boot drive except the OS and basic apps, everything else is on other partitions.

I do know that performance on these things vary, but yeah I see this as standard tech on laptops in a few years.

I'd totally own one for my laptop in a year or two when prices are down & reliability is up.
