My sisters hard drive is realy messed up i can't get it to work i was wondring if any one noes of any trick i heard that if you put it in the frezer for 30 min it will work is this true please i need help

It's possible, but next time post in the right forum please.. This is a valid trick, but 80% of the time it doesn't help..

I'd say more like 95% of the time it doesn't work. This is something you should ONLY do as a last ditch effort with the understanding that the drive will probably be ruined later (moisture inside the drive is no good).

It also ONLY helps if the problem with the drive is related to seized bearings or a stricture problem (heads are stuck to the platter). It won't do anything for corrupt sectors or if the drive electronics are bad (for instance if BIOS can't detect the drive).
