ECC RAM in non-ECC board

Post by vo »

I just bought two sticks of RAM from other board and it did not POST at all.
Gave the following BIOS beeps 1/3/3/1 ... ???
Anyway, I checked again and realized they're ECC RAM duh and mine is not.
Is there any way I can make it work or I am SOL on that.
TIA for any help ...

If the board doesn't support the ECC you're SOL.. But you may find somebody who will trade you ECC for Non-ECC.. Worth a shot.. :)

Awe, that is a bummer. :( You might try eBay or something of that sort.. But you could try forums too.. There is a good chance that somebody out there would want it.. GL
