New Toy!!!

Post by Pugsley »

A 150 disk changer.

But not just any changer... this one works with a computer!

It still needs some work and testing... but the robot works so thats a good thing. As of now its 150 disc and has 4 drives. It can only read CD. I would like to try and find a DVD rom for it... cause they do exist as an option. Its RS232 for the robot and scsi for the 4 drives. If i can get a dvd rom in it that thing will hold 650 gigs of info. Cant wait to hook it all up.

See it in action. Its about 1 meg.

I seems it was dropped at one point due to the front pannel being semi broken and the maildoor (the load spot on the front) didnt work right due to the drop as well... I fixed the maildoor and it works now.

What woudl be super kick ass would be to get a DVD burner in it.. then i could load 150 blanks in it and uhh... make stuff.

if you wanna pay shipping on a 70 pound box i might be able to make that happen. There is another identical unit that the robot seems to be broken on... I havent had time to "play" with it to see what it is.

now that I look at it... i thikn its mod time... since i have it all apart... I think i may add a window to show off the robot goodness.. no sence in keeping it all hidden.

Wait a minuet... im not gonna mod it if i cant get a DVD drive of some sort in it. If i can get 1 or more DVD roms for it then it would be worth modding. Cause i might not keep it if all it can do is CDs.
