I didn;t partition the things at set-up and now I really want to take advantage of this option. I takes too damn long to defrag anyways...few questions.
1) I am pretty sure I have to do a complete Windows reinstall to do this....if this is the case, do I have to reformat the drives... It took me awhile to get the HD's setup teh first time to make matching kernal sizes and such (i'm not that savy, but I do read ahead before doing something like this, and installing a smaller HD first in oprder to set the kernal size was a pain, will I have to do this again?)
2) will the partitions just read as extra drives, or will there be a need to install an OS on each partition?
3) I play on-line gaming alot, and this would allow me to store gaming file on one drive, OS on another, music and what not on one, and etc....... what is teh max amount of partitions allowed...not that I need more than 4 or 5 max.
4) Any Advice before i get started on this?
I'm using windows XP Pro, COrp., so gettng updates is difficult to do.....
shhh.....I am currently running SP1, and want ot upgrade to SP2......
I got hit with some kind of virus that Norton isn;t even seeing....it keeps resetting my homepage to a porn site, i can change it manually, and it takes fine, but as soon as I log again, it changes back and I can;t change it unless I reboot.....
well...that's the start of my project......hope you guys have some words of wisdom here for me.
