I have a RAID-0 setup on my 64bit machine. Installing games off a CD image on the drive pwns. Same goes for things like copying things between partitions. I can tell there is a bandwidth increase.
The only downside to the array is that sometimes if I shutdown windows improperly I loose data which makes it a pain in the ass to get back into XP. I got that down to a 2 stage process tho so it's not really a prob since I restart like once a month.
To RAID-0 or not to RAID-0 ... answers inside
