Anyone have any experience RMAing a retail box Athlon CPU?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I just got off the phone with them and have an RMA. I'm wondering if they're going to disqualify me because I took the pad off the heatsink and put AS on it when I installed the it on a different mobo for testing.

I didn't realize I'd be sending the heatsink back.

Just tell them it stuck to the core and you cleaned it off to verify that the core was not damaged.
