Looking for the best ram for the price I need 512MB DDR PC3200

ususally its best to check the deal boards for what's on special where

stick with crucial, kingston, corsair, mushkin

anantech usually has reliable memory reviews

atm i am using mixed corsair, mushkin, crucial

I cannot recommend ANY generic memory. Most of the time its 50/50. 50% chance it will work, 50% its a piece of crap

what wvjohn said, stick with kingston, crucial, corsair, mushkin.
Check out http://www.newegg.com or http://www.zipzoomfly.com (zip zoom was previously googlegear)
They normally have pretty good prices

I found a keyboard/mouse combo for a good price on zip zoom fly... Can somone who knows go to http://www.zipzoomfly.com and look at the pc3200 ram and tell me the best for the price.. any that is under $90

EDIT-- I found it which one 80098-5 or 80098-6?

which one the CAS 2.5 or CAS 3??

Better preformance than that Corsair memory. Geil is a good brand too.

Already ordered the corsair.. I've heard from a few ppl that Geil has problems with 8RDA3+

Geil is a good brand too

I have read a lot of complaints about the Geil ram. Especially there lower level stuff but some complaints on their top line stuff too.

If you're using an nforce2 chipset...

Buffalo Technology / Winbond CH-5 PC3200 DDR400
TwinMos / Winbond CH-5 PC3200 DDR400

or if you can find it........

Buffalo Tech / Winbond BH-5 PC3700 DDR466 * that's the REAL good stuff *

Winbond makes the memory controller on nforce2 mobos so compatibility is a non-issue with these. They are listed as CAS 2.5 but every stick I've had of either of these brands will run CAS2 @ 200FSB no problemo.

You can keep that Corsair stuff. Twice I've ordered their ram and both times it wouldn't even run at their SPD settings. Maybe I was unlucky but it's enough to keep me away from it.

Newegg has Buffalo 512MB stixx for $83 free shipping. Make sure you get the Winbond Modules and not the CAS3 Infineon stuff.

Geil or buffalo. I have heard complaints of Every RAM manufacture EVER! so that doesnt really matter.

I would go to Epox forums if I were you to see which ram seems to have the best luck on that board. Epox is an excellent motherboard maker so I'm sure you will have plenty of options.I had some hyper x memory that i was having problems with on an 8rda+ so i called kingston.Kingston told me that the new Bios version was sopposed to support Hyper x and that they would stand behind there ram if there were any problems....
