Blue Screen of Death

Post by Parad0x »

Yeah.. i was accepted into the beta test for Horizons and everytime i play it it crashes. The bsod says that there is a problem with ati3d1ag.dll and Physical Memory dumping.. so anyway i go online to research this a bit and find out that there is some conflict with my video card and java.. or so im told.. but they never said anything about how to fix it.. if you guys could help me out a bit thatd be great.

If you need more info please ask...

opps forgot to mention that.. laptop video cards dont get new drivers.. not from ATi anyway.. apparently its possible to get them from the company tha makes the laptop, but since the company doesnt make the video card they dont bother making newer drivers..

If it's an ATI chipset then ATI generic drivers shoudl work on it - they have a better chance of working properly with a game than the laptop manufacturer's drivers.

Drivers are updated almost monthly now ONLY to support newer games.

The laptop manufacturer is probably using some old ATI driver build from last year.
