I myself preffer my ram on one stick instead of 2 sticks, 512ddr. I just went from 768ddr (512+256) to 1 gig ddr (512+512) the other day. Now I'll stick the 256 I took out in another system. I only had 3 slots, so at 256mb sticks I'd been stuck at 1gig, whereas now I still have one slot free
Don't know what every one else thinks of em, But I have 3 KDS 17" extreme flats from wallmart. Seems to be doing fine for me, $118 each plus tax. ($198 at semi local computer store)
The oldest one is probably close to 1 1/2- 2 yrs old. Case design changes, monitor is same
I don't do much gamming, but I like my ATI Radeon 7500 AIW card for a video card and I capture alot of movies with it. ABout $135 I think at Newegg, and I saw a link in the sizzlin deals Geeks had em plain Radeon 7500 for about $40. Kid has one and works good for her, though we don't game much at all.
Logitech Z-640 5.1 (I heard these and they sound great at under a $100!), got mine at newegg for $67 plus $7 shipping. Saw em latter with free shipping and a buck or two cheaper there. We like em.
No one likes cheap power supplies, but I have 400watt and 450watt that came with cases and they do me good so far. I do have a spare on the shelf though just in case. Hope I don't blow a system board if one fries
My main rig, 60gig, 80gig, DVD-r burner, Liteon52x cd burner, overclocked 1700xp as a 2000xp, 1 gig ram, ATI AIW 7500, Iwill xp 333, 450 watt turbolink P/s, came with the dragon case
W2k Pro.
We use onboard sound on all the systems here.
I'll be building a new one soon, 2500xp 333fsb also.
