Digital Input to LCD Monitor

Post by MAC »

I just purchased a 17" Viewsonic VP171b LCD monitor. I have it hooked up to my year old Leadtek WinFast A250 (GeForce 4 Ti 4400) with the analog cable and a DVI cable. I am using the latest nVidia reference drivers.

Is there anything special I need to do (besides switch the monitor input from Analog to Digital) to get the digital input to work? I have even tried the latest Leadtek drivers in an attempt to get it working. The Leadtek support web site and Viewsonic support web sites have not been any help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the DVI connection alone? Could be the computer is looking for the analog first and then won't recognize the DVI connection.

Yep, sethpa, that was it. I disconnected the analog cable, switched to digital input and booted the computer and it works.

Thanks,

Cool, you can hook another computer to the analog now, and run both at the same time. I do with my Dell branded Samsung. Just switch back and forth at the touch of a button :)
