ya, around 120 or so at max on my A40. More than adequate for most situations. I use a 128.
They generally only give you an 8 with the camera which is a joke.

They have gotten so small. My old Sony is a 1.3mp with a 16x digital zoom. It still works great but using a floppy is getting to be a pain. Most of the pics I post on PCA were taken with it. Let us know what you decide on and definitely post pics you take with it.
NF, could you get one of those Floppy to SD or SM what ever the hell it is and use it to get more pix out of your camera?? Just a thought.. eGo

Just placed an order for the Powershot A60, 256MB CF card, Enlight 6-in-1 3.5" bay reader, 2 pairs of 4 AA rechargeable 2000 maH batteries and that charger you suggested FP. I'll be sure to post some test shots once I get everything working.

I think one good point on a card reader I did not see mentioned was the fact that the camera is not tied up!
If you use a cable, USB or other, connected to the camera, either you can't use the camera if your needing the pics at the computer, or you can't access the pics if your using the camera
With a card reader and extra cards you can do both at the same time. Might not be important if only you use the camera, but might be if you loan it out to a friend or releative and need your pics.
Also they are supposed to be much faster I think. I know our cheap little camera and probably USB 1 is very slow to transfer pics. Also why burn up an expensive camera when you could use a chep reader.
I like to use cheap stuff as much as I can and save the expensive stuff for when it's needed. Generally I figure everything will break after a certian amount of use, so I use the expensive stuff as little as I need to if something cheap does the same job as well or better
Like I burn cd's with a $50 burner, not my $200 dvd burner, though it will do them too
