Good deal or bad deal ?

Post by NascarFool »

I grabbed an almost complete system for $60 shipped. Like I said, almost complete.

What I got:
Slot A 900MHz proc with HSF
OEM HP mobo
256megsPC100 or 133
56k PCI modem
10/100 PCI nic
HP multimedia keyboard
nVidia TNT2 AGP
HP Recovery disks for above mentioned mobo

What I need or already have:
Hard drive (13gigger coming from co-worker for $0.00)
CD-Rom LiteOn 48x (already have) or CD-RW (got a LiteOn 48x24x48x coming for another co-worker that might not want it now $42)
1.44 floppy (needed but may not install one)
Monitor (same co-worker might give me one of his old ones)
Mouse (got an old three button ball mouse laying around here)
Win98SE (got it but might opt for WinXP Home or Pro if cheap enough)
Mid Tower (Directron.com has a nice ATX tower for arong $35 shipped)

I really won't need a CD-RW in it, so basically I'll have a nice little folding box for about $100.

My opinion of 2K is not good. ;) For the longest time I had two games that absolutely refused to run on 2K. They work fine on XP.
