NICE PSU: Enermax EG365P

Post by FlyingPenguin »

NICE PSU. Weighs almost 6 pounds - BIG heatsinks in this baby - VERY quiet. All gold contacts, a LOT of power connectors and nice long cables. Bought one for a client and kept a spare for myself.

Dang thing even came with a 60 PAGE MANUAL! Darn, you can't even get a real manual with a mobo anymore.

I'm ordering an Antec case with an Antec True430 PSU for my new rig, but I'll put the Enermax in there if I like it better.

I havent been pleased with enermax over the last year. Lower voltage provided to components then vantec and antec. and when one goes bad, they changed it to a pathetic 1year waranty and Require you to deal with the place you bought it from instead of directly with them. People get lucky though and get the good ones out of the bunch.

I use to be impressed with enermax. The 431w one I have does well, though an antec true psu does better. But then I see how certain mobo's have problems with enermax psu's, not Antec ones just enermax ones. Makes you think twice.

It's hard to beat Antec. And if you like peace and quiet, Antec true is like sweet music to your ears. :)

That Antec True430 got some rave reviews, which is why I ordered the case with it installed. I do hear it's damn quiet.

The Epox boards seem to have the most issues with the Enermax power supplies. Not sure why but if you read the forums at AMDMB you will se a lot of problems with Epox & Enermax.

I love my True Blue 480W Antec... they are damn quiet almost too quiet... the air coming out of them is hot as hell the fan speed almost needs to be a bit faster than it is...
