Memory Brand question
I sent an OEM Samsung back to Directron.com for RMA, they sent a stick back for replacement. The bad stick was OEM Samsung and in Aida32 it showed up as 512MEGPC2700. My original stick was shown as XEROX. Both are 512megPC2700. The replacement stick shows as NANYA NT5DS16M8AT-6K, is this good ram ? The RMA'd stick would only run at PC2100 settings, the replacement runs fine at PC2700 settings.
NANYA is a somewhat large ram maker (Little smaller then Crucial) that's very very well respected in the business. NANYA'a ram will usually perform almost as good as Crucial's. They also make Kingston's ValueRAM and are OEM providers for DELL as well as also being partnered with Infineon. So overall they are nice chips, and I wouldn't feel ripped off if I got it as a replacement
