Finally got my burner, I have NO idea where to start...

Post by Sean »

Ok, I finally got my Lite-On 52x24x52 CD Burner installed and running fine. I was going to copy NFS4 today (so I have multiple copies), but realized that it was copy protected. I have Nero. Luckily, I can a test before I actually burned, so I don't think I wasted this disc yet.

Anyways, where do I start? I'm pretty sure once I figure out how to burn NFS4, I can figure out all games. I currently have my Toshiba DVD Drive and the Lite-On on their own channels, all by themselves.

Any other info needed? Thanks for the help!

Clone-CD is good at creating backup copies of copy-protected games.

Gamecopyworld is a good place to find hints on how to create the backup copy for certain protected games.

I have a couple programs that you can use to find the copy proction and circuvent it. I could e-mail them to you. They are quite small. They are also freeware.

i also use clone cd. note if you live in the united states some features of clone cd are disabled like the amplify weak sectors feature which is used to nullify safedisc and safedisc2 protected disks. there is a way around this however, just change you regional setting to english/canada so the comp thinks its in canada and reboot then install clone cd. you will then have all the features enabled but your browser will think you are in canada as well. hope this helps :D
