The really sad part Vidman is the fact that I have the same identical drives as you do. WHat stripe size did you use when you created your RAID array?
And your scores show how much effort Abit puts into their mobos. They do make great mobos, weren't they the first to include onboard IDE RAID? I know my BE6 had a Highpoint chipset on it to provide faster speeds.

16/16 (stripe/cluster) ........all partitions, including XP Pro dual boot, are FAT32. Dunno about them ( Abit) being the first with the RAID but it wouldn't surprise me. These guys in here break ballz on Abit ( mostly MY Abit
) all the time but for my money it's a KILLER mobo. Hell I had a BH6 that I had for close to 2 years. Terrific mobo.
Here's my how my RAID 0 array is partitioned...
C:\ = 5GB win98se
D:\ = 30GB XP Pro
E:\ = 40GB ...all downloads, saved games
F:\ = 40GB .....MP3's, movies

Hi, I still think this benchmark is broken. Hell, I cannot even run it anymore. I got one good run out of it a while back. I have mouseover window activation on now, and it won't run anymore. Wierd.ROFL!!!! what no poop today? I'm on a roll i got Sov all wound up wouldn't be complete without argueing some more with poop? What kind of a name is poop might i ask? That kinda vile for a name if ya ask me but that MHO.

Hey Schwartzy, What kind of numbers you pullin' ? I'm just curious to see how my cheapo Maxtors hold up against the X-15. I would think you'd still mop the floor with my IDE RAID. I'd be happy to be close.

From what I've heard, this is a very flawed benchmark, especially with the HD numbers and the variation between ATA/66/100/133, which in actuality causes very little performance difference.

SCSI X15s and that program
There's some reason why SCSI HDDS do NOT score well with PCMark2002 or its previous versons. My X15s do not score well with THAT program BUT if anyone saw my comment with link from the other thread about this in this forum
I do believe (from my recollection) that Radboy has previously dealt with this very topic regarding SCSI HDDs and the PC Mark test results and if you don't see anything written about it at his website (linked in the quote above), I could e-mail him for more details BUT ONLY if anyone here REALLY cares and truely wants to know as I don't personally care. I know that the X15s rock and that replacing my old IDE HDDs with the X15s had a more noticable "feel" in speed than any cpu/mobo, ram replacement has ever done for me to date.
The PCMark test results for cpu speed and memory have both increased with cpu clock speed and better ram. My latest 1.4 T-bird at 1550mhz (with Samsung PC2700 DDR) now tests at 4155 for cpu and 3873 for memory compared to 3076 cpu and 1744 memory with the older 1ghz T-bird and PC133 ram (different mobos too).
I simply don't believe the PCMark score results for my X15 as it's not anywhere close to how it should be. If anyone's ever researched the X15, it's STILL known as "the fastest HDD on the planet" to date and other test results have proved that.
you'ld see my old systems HDD benchmark with my older X15 (not the newer X15-36LP) and I highly doubt any IDE HDD can benchmark THAT program nearly as well using the same HDD program that Radboy used then.I too question the HDD scores as my 15,000 rpm SCSI Cheatah Seagate X15s (which have been been tested and posted at Radboys site HERE using a HDD benchmark program with a slower cpu, worse ram and did great then) does not test well with PC Mark 2002 and yet it should. It's then my opinion that I'd also question this program as I know my HDDs aren't slow compared to others, no way

Yeah a friend of mine has a dual Athlon MP 1900, 10k RPM USCSI-160 HD, and 1 GB of RAM (well-paid bachelors and their toys, eh?)
The one time I ran PCMark, I was running my 7200 RPM drive on an ATA-66 bus. My HDD score was only like 50-100 less than his. That is just wrong. No way my trusty old maxtor can compete w/ an ultra-160 SCSI drive.
