Router Question (internet Sharing)

Post by RaT »

my friend has a USB ADSL connection/modem at home (london). from what i've seen most "linksys" routers only have your typical ethernet connection from a Cable or DSL modem.

do you guys know of any routers that is compatible with a USB Cable/DSL Modem?

"are you sure the modem has network jack?"

i dunno, i'm having a hard enough time understanding my buddy's "english accent" :)

here's the deal, his ISP in London gave him a ADSL/USB modem. Only connections are the "in" for the phone line and the "out" via usb to his computer. he says no ethernet option whatsoever.

so the only way i see him "sharing" his internet connection through a router is to ask his ISP for a new modem with some kinda ethernet interface instead of the usb only.

is this making sense??? :)
