drilling through 486..what do uyou use?

Trying to use a 14.4v drill with a 5/32 bit and I just cant get through the ceramic part. So what you guys use? Damn thing is hard as hell! I cant even get the bit to stay in one spot. I am trying to make a keychain.

well.....because I have a drill press, i would use that with a very sharp bit

but since you are stuck with a hand held....dunno what else to do.

i would say clamp it/hold it down good. Use a sharp bit (this is key) and give constant pressure...
a 5/32 sounds a bit small. why not try a 1/4 bit at low rpms

Heh, I actually did it. Don't know what you call 'em but some kind of rotary device pop has in the basement, one on each each, rotating vertically, kind of like sand paper on a rock. Whatever it is called. I didn't actually cut through it, but it heated up so hard that the ceramics actually cracked and revealed the core inside

Had to wear a glove so I wouldn't burn my fingers.

do you have a dremel or similar?? theres a grinder tipped thing u can buy and pop in one of those and it works decently. i got it to actually fit in my drill if you don't have a dremel.
