tbird 900 that cost me $200 u.s. at the time..it was an expensive lesson.

1969 cutlass 442...white leather interior, 4 speed..588 horse power high output 455 from a transam..sold for $150, a winter coat, a bag of cashews, a slurpy and a place to stay for a month.. :) it was a rather dark period in my life..1980..what i learned..and what i lost :)

To anyhow who fried and old small hard drive, does anyone still have it and want to send it my way. I need the hard drive magnet to attach to my motorcycle so I can get traffic lights to detect me. Thanks in advance.

Heh, I'm -1 on dead parts this year. A VA-503+ mobo that seemed dead last year (but I couldn't bear to toss out) is working again, and at 600+MHz.

P.S.
I buy dead vehicles :)

Anyone else selling 69 442's or buses cheap? Motorcycles? VW BUGS?

I got a yard full of dead stuff and 3 not here yet. Also got to pickup a Firebird I bought day before leaving for vacation, last year :)

If it is not real common or is old and worth coming to get, cheap, and I can drive/tow/trailer it home and within about 800 miles of South Central MO, tell me about it. That's like Ohio to half of Texas area and WI too!!

If it's something I'd like to play with I might actaully get it.

And how does the magnet on the cycle work? I've had light problems too and plan to buy another bike this year! Might need to try that me self.

Hmm link seems to be dead.........

Ok I'll try to explain the best I can.

You mount a strong magnet as low as possible on a cycle (they say the center stand, I don't have one, I have a real bike :) - kidding- so I have mine mounted on my swingarm). When passing over a traffic light sensor it make the light "see" you. And light changes when it is your turn.

Thats when you look and if there's no traffic just go... most of hte cops around here know thats a problem and if its clear and a guy on a motorcycle goes they won't pull them over for running a red light. Think the only reason they do this is cause the cops around here have 4 harley's they ride in 8 months out of the year.

after a tumultous last year (what with those damned fragile socket a's, lightning strikes, and a failed experiment in 3 year olds near water cooling) this year was pretty mild.

Asus P4B533: DOA
EVga ti4600: killed by the asus' wonky retention mechanism
more CDRoms than I can count (they always seem to die on me....I have no idea why)
27" TV (aforementioned 3yr. old decided to squirt windex on it and shot right into the a/v ports frying the mobo inside)
2.4b@2934
Asus P4B533
512 Corsair XMS @ cl2/2/2/5
Crucial R9700Pro 360/720
WD800BB
TBSC

Lets see...
1 gf-mx400 (my fault)
15 cheesy cd jewels (got knocked over and the 'hinges broke)
1 bottem end of a 302 I had in my ranger
(long boring story but expensive nonetheless).I know it's not pc related but it pains me all the same.
Not too bad in the pc dept. this year - thank god.
