My 2 cents: stick to name brands (TDK, Memorex, Fuji, Kodak, etc). I've tried the generic ones, and the store-brand names (like Office Depot) which are just generic, and I get a high failure rate.

Yeah they might be cheaper, but it's pretty aggravating when 1 out 10 are defective.

I use Imitation brand. They have been good to me. The only coasters I've had was because of the burning software. I have 16x right now and burn them at 24x with no problems.

i've gone through 4 stacks of 50s of these CDRs and have yet to have problems.
