Ide cables

Is there a difference between ata66 and ata133? A tech at a local shop said they are all the same. I thought there was a difference.

Theoretical difference. That's the major difference. Most drives are hard pressed to have a sustained transfer rate that is over UDMA66, whether they are UDMA100 or UDMA133. I have a RAID0 array w/ ATA133 drives and my burst rate doesn't exceed 100 Mbit at all. The really thing there is no difference between is ATA100 and ATA133.
