PC Chips M598 v. 7.0

Post by sheerdark »

Hello all,

I have been searching endlessly for information on this board for a friend that still uses it as his main system....well, being the smart guy that he was, he wanted to install a new hard drive. He proceeded to pull off all the mobo connectors....FROM EVERYTHING. This is an older board with strange connectors for everything....WITH NO LABELS ON BOARD. So, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a motherboard manual for this revision...as they do not have one on the PC Chips site....

I was thinking of just telling my friend that he needs to buy a whole new motherboard, just so that I do not have to go thru all the re-connecting that he so carelessly removed...being such a smart guy!!

Thanks for any help that you may be able to provide. I will attatch a picture below to show you what it looks like.

Thanks!!!

I could probably hook that up from memory - I just got done with a gig teaching PC technicians using that board. If not, I have access to working examples of some. If you get stumped, post here or (preferably) PM/email me.

First of all....thanks everyone for your time and effort at helping my friend out. Anyways, if anyone would be willing to scan or type out the front panel connector layout...I would be absolutely happy!! Also, I need to know the jumper settings, also. Thanks for your time!!

Dude, I gave you a link to a page with a PDF of the manual. I just downloaded it and the pinout of the header and all the other info you need is there.

Here's the direct link to the PDF: http://216.179.165.106/manual/pcchips/m598.zip
