SCSI CDD Causes Win2k to crash

Post by TruckStuff »

I've been searching the SCSI FAQs typically linked to here, but I can't find any help. I finally got around to building my new SCSI system and man does it fly! :D I only have one problem right now: the CDD. Its a Toshiba 6401B SCSI drive and Win2k tends to BSOD with a page fault when it is connected. When I disconnect it, everything is smooth as silk. It is jumpered to ID1 right now and I'm 95% sure the termination is enabled. Does the parity bit need to be enabled or disabled? Specs:

Athlon MP1600+
Tyan Tiger MPX motherboard
512MB Samsung DDR
Adaptec 19160 controller (ID7)
18GB Cheetah X15 36LP (ID0)
HP 4x4x24 burner (IDE)

I haven't downloaded all the updates for Win2k yet, but I will get on that and see if that fixes anything. Until then, tips are appreciated.
