* * * Burning on Verbatim CD problem ? * * *

Post by grozda »

Burner Teac 8x8x32 CD W58E, program WinON CD 5.0 on Windows 98.

I try to burn new Verbatim CD 16X (looks only slim case was different with older CD's) silver/white.
PC was defragmented, nothing in startup and at 60% of loading buffer at recirding start looks like laser cant read something and after 30 sec (recording didnt even started) I got error message "buffer underrun" !!!

CD wasnt damadge. I load CDRW 4-10X Verbatim and recording was normal without restarteng computer.
I put "new Verbatim" again and still got error. After that I tried with Color Verbatim 16X and no problem.
Again tried with "new Verbatim" and "buffer underrun" error.

This was never happend and doesnt happening to me with any other CD's, only with this Verbatim in SLIM pack which was came recently to my store. I tried recording with few NEW once but ERROR all over again. One more thing .. when I put down the speed to 4X recording was succesfill but disk can not be read on any CD - unusable !!!

Is it possible that they have some new surface that my burner doesnt recognise or ????

Any ideas ?

Thanx in advance

I guess your burner is not compatible with that specific Verbatim CD line ... there's currently no firmware update available for your burner ... just avoid those discs and use the other ones that work.

Thanx, I guess you are right.
I will wait for new firmware.
