Best video card for under $100?

Post by succubiss »

I swore off upgrades, and i'm still running an ATI Rage Fury (32mb w/ TV out) that I got from blade about a year and a half ago.

But.... i just got Medal of Honor: AA, and I've re-entered the gaming arena. My card blows chunks trying to render this game at 800x600 and I'm definitely looking for an upgrade.

It looks like Nvidia and ATI are the two big players out there right now.

What's the best I can do for under $100.
(tv-out is something I use a lot and would be a huge plus)

I'm looking right now at newegg's refurbed Radeon 64mb 7500 CRT/TV/DVI for $89 shipped.
I've also heard good things about the Geforce2 Ultra that my friend just picked up.

Any input is welcome. Thanks.

OH God I feel another Nvidia vs ATI war coming on. I personally like Nvidia much better if for no other reason than the driver support. In that price range I think it comes down to what you want image quality or speed. If you want image quality go for ATI if you want speed go for Nvidia. If you want both spend a little more and get a Nvida TI200
