Just installed my Hercules Game Theater Xp

I know this unit has been out for awhile but I have not been able to afford a card with a breakout box since they came out. I got this Hercules Game Theater in the mail today and I must say I like it, a lot. The breakout box is nice, very heavy duty. I've got in on my desk right now as it's too wide to set on top of my case. The sound is very nice and the software provided to change how you listen to everything is nicely done also. The only two gripes I have, the breakout box has two USB ports in the back, I can't get anything to work through them, the front two porst are right on though, no problem there. The second gripe I have is that the cable from the box to the card is freaking huge. It is very hard to deal with and the connector is so wide it wouldn't fit through my desk porthole that lets me run cables up and down through the desk. I'm going to have to modify something. It's a great setup though that I really like, I don't recommend it though if you don't have a little space to play with, if you are very tight on desktop you may want to go with the live drive since you can install that into your case.

I've had mine for a while and am happy with it. My rear USB ports work fine. I have my mouse and my MS Game Voice plugged into it. The ports are unpowered, maybe what you are trying to run requires more power than you have to spare on that port from the PC?
