Post by fearfox »

okay guys i have dual pentium 3 1.0ghz setup righ!

why are the temps in one processor higher than other. i am running setti and both cpu's are running it and there only at 50% . one cpu is at 33 Celsius and other is 55 celsius. why is one running way hotter than the other one?????

easiest explanation may be that one of the HSF's is not perfectly level on the cpu...or the fan is running at a lower rpm for some reason...

what are you using to monitor the temps? if MBM 5.0, make sure you have the correct temp sensor(s) selected for each cpu.

If SETI runs correctly on both CPU's, both should show 100% cause SETI eats every available CPU cycle.

yup...what doc said also. go into task manager and right-click on each seti instance...set the cpu affinity to only 1 cpu for each seti.
