These chips and 570 boards are supposed to be able to access the memory on the new 68xx video cards too.

I'm glad to see Intel and AMD trading blows again. If I needed to build from scratch and had access to the 5000 series chips and a 6890, I'd probably build an AMD.

Hardware Jesus benchmarks the 5600X along with his usual deep dive.

Gamers Nexus AMD Ryzen 7 5800X review:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x2BYNimNOU

$450 seems a bit steep for an 8 core CPU when their 6 core 5600X is $300 and the 12 core 5900X is $550.

Yeah, he mentioned in the 5600X review that the 5800X pricing makes no sense.

He mentioned in the 5800X review it's probably to upsell the 5900X. 4 extra cores for $100 extra.

Apparently they all sold out within a few minutes. Hopefully they'll be able to get some in stock on a regular basis.
I'll probably wait for a 5800 or 5700X 8 core version. I don't mind manually overclocking myself to get the same performance.

It makes sense to release the more expensive versions first it you won't be able to keep up with demand initially.

Gamers Nexus discovered Ryzen 5000 series runs faster with 4 sticks of RAM versus 2.
It can be up to 8 % in games.
The games were only using 7 Gigs of system RAM capacity, so it's not the 32 Gigs versus 16 Gigs of RAM making the difference.
