Best AMD Cooler

Ok, I've been asking this question everywhere and I keep getting different answers. So anyways, what is the best air HS&F for an AMP XP processor? Preferrably for overclocking, and dont worry about noise factors, cuz I would probably end up slapping a tornado on it, If it'll fit. But I think the SLK-900A with a Vantec 92mm tornado is the best (my mobo doesnt have the 4 mounting holes
) So what is the best?

the 900a doesnt need the holes so you are good there.

yeah, I know that it doesn't need the holes. I just said that to tell people that I cant put a HS&F on my mobo that needs the holes and that the SLK-900A is my best bet so far. But that still leaves the question, what is the best air cooler for an AMD TBred?

Like nexus said, the slk900a is the best. Coupled with a 92mm tornado. See

i think the best hsf would be the thermalright sp97 i have the 95 for my p4 it's great produces exelent temps.

my brother has a coolermaster aero 7... and i'm not very impressed with it.
it idles at 46 degrees...

you guys are digging up posts from last year, back then the 900a was king there was no sp94/97 back then

...then get the Thermalright SP-97. But even if you have the four mounting holes, you may have problems with SMD's too close to the holes. I had that problem with the Shuttle MN31N on two holes, but I ground the studs (with my handy Dremel) so they would clear the SMD's when the stud was screwed down. That worked great in my printer-to-computer project.
Also, why ruin your hearing with a loud fan? I don't think gaining a few more MHz is worth the pain....

i have a slk900u and i used to have a 92 'nado on it....it was too loud (56db!!) so i switched to a very quiet thermaltake x blower..... same idle temp ....@38C . it was the most powerful fan i found that was under 50 dB..... personally id take the xblower over the tornado (plus its got cool lookin speed control knobs =D)
