Yesterday, she went out and bought me an Athlon XP 1800 and a MSI K7T266 Pro2 MOBO
and 512 MB PC 2100 DDR.
All men should be as lucky as me

Mine just complains that the programs aren't running right and "did you do something?"
Worst was when she took a basic computer course a number of years ago and would come home and argue with me if I disagreed with what the teacher said.
I just got a box of my own to play with and put an aiw card on the family one so she could watch tv and dvd.

My wife has been pretty nice about all my hardware playing. Shes finally getting tired of never having a stable computer cause i'm always rebuilding it and putting new stuff in
She went from
600e@800mhz w/ Geforce 256, 256mb Pc133
to a
700@933/1000 w/ Geforce 2 DDR, 512mb of Pc133
to a
1.2 Tbird w/ Geforce 2 , 512mb of Pc133
and to her newly built
XP 1600+ w/ Radeon 8500, 512mb PC2100
All in about 2-3 months time. Now shes starting to rag me to never touch her computer again
hehe.
I got that 1600 chip yesterday and it smokes! I've got it running at 162mhz FSB!!! It loads into windows @ 165mhz, but then locked up. I think its more the ram than the chip, not sure though. But 162mhz is quick enough, thats 2100+ speed! (i think its 1701 mhz total)

LOL, Nope after our second child, I got fixed.
I have built computers for the kids, but she doesn't want me to build her one.
I bought her a laptop for email and things, but she won't even use that.
