Ok, theoretically, say I switched from Intel systems to AMD. THEORETICALLY cause you know, Intel is Much faster then AMD {/sarcasm} :p

So, what would be the best board to use? Maybe looking for something all PCI, built in RAID, perhaps DDR if I'm daring?

I was looking at the Soyo k7fhfabi832hbq something or other Dragon Motherboard, but nobody has it. It was looking like a decent board, and having the Soyo 6BA+ board which is way faster than the Abit boards I had. Any opinions on what to buy? If I do? ;)

If you are going to go with DDR, the Epox 87ka+, Shuttle AK31, and Shuttle AK32 have all been getting really good reviews.

Sdram - IMO I think the Iwill KK266 is the best one out there.

Kaworu, Kakerot and I just finished building new boxes with the Epox 8K7A mobo's. They use DDR ram and pretty nice. Only thing you need is a good power supply, as they suck it down. Otherwise it's a nice board, lot's of room, and well built. The + model has built in Raid.

8k7a -said to be one of if not the most tweakable mobo's but uses a lot of jumpers /dips instead of bios adjustments.
