In need of a video card

Post by BillyGoat »

I need a video card, so I dont got crazy. Ive fallen on hard times and my little brother was nice enough to purchase BF4 for me, but Id really like to get the whole experience- or at least a better one

after must tweaking Ive managed to run BF4 at 35-65 fps, but its not pretty

Heres my specs

AMD athlon II x4 635 2.9ghz

12 gigs of ram
Stock dell PSU

Ive been told that the fastest card I could run is a HD7750 without upgrading my PSU as well- so I might have to do both

Im unemployed and sick, so I dont really have any cash- but Im not looking for a handout either- I just started to get back into computers since depression takes everything from you, and I want to keep my momentum going I have alot of trades.
so Im either looking for a video card better then mine where I dont have to upgrade the psu, or something more powerfull, at which I will be looking for a psu as well

Fender Frontman 15b bass or keyboard amp

Give me a heads up on what PS3 games you might have there, might be interested in some. Also, how much might you be looking for that iPod Touch?

Only can do cash though, or buy something for you and have it shipped to you. Only video card I have around is an old 8800GT :)
When all else fails, replace the user.

ok Im going to put the info here in the thread in case others are interested in it, I really need a new video card, and unfortunatley I dont have the money, or any ability to make any now

PS3 Games- sorry I know there's not alot- but Im not a council gamer, These where here for my Kids, Which unfortunately My Ex illegally moved them 1500 miles away, and I dont have the legal resources to do anything about
Motostorm
Call of duty-world at war
assassins creed
madden 07
marvel ultimate alliance 2
star wars- the force unleashed
Burn Out paradise
skate
-sorry all the rest are my wifes Karaoke games, which never get played, but you know the deal

info on the portable LCD tv
its a great TV, probably less then 10 hours use, But its great for mods, a monitor/tv on the go/ really can be used for alot of things, I have an older -less capable one I use when I fly and I want to double the battery life of my laptop watching movies, playing games. I also use the other one as a portable cable tv troubleshooter, a portable monitor for pc troubleshooting, my wife watches the today show while putting on her makeup- watching stuff while cooking in the kitchen...etc - the one Im putting up here is much superior - here are the first 3 links from google

Haier HLT71
http://reviews.cnet.com/portable-tvs/haier-hlt71/4505-6483_7-33588448.html

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPe3j6aFI14

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2375270,00.asp

Ipod touch- dont know a price shoot me an offer, worst I could say is no, but I dont offend easily- I used it primarily for backing tracks to play guitar through - I also have a peavy ampkit guitar interface for it somewhere, and I can include apps as well- works great as a virtual amp, as well as recording interface for gargeband-etc

RC helicopters- I can fly a little, but they where my passed away to early brothers- he left them to me as he knows Im a geek

Esky belt cp -heavily modified upgraded everything tons of spare parts as well

(2) esky big outdoor lama both moded, One is fairly stock but has alot of alloy, blades etc upgrades, the other is a brusless mod progect he started and never finished, think theres spares for this as well

Blade 120sr

blade MSR

blade mcpx

Esky lama 3 moded to better electronics (blade/spektrum)

400 sized Fixed pitch brushless heli- tons of upgrades- cant remember what the rc store guy said the name was but he said it was an amazing FP heli, and the head parts are cheap as dirt he told he it was his favorite FP heli
all electronics and everything else upgraded

Eco 8 royal (huge helicopter 48 inch blade span) have an almost complete spare kit as well. all electronics are high end(castle creations) really sweet servos- the hobby store guy told me he would give me alot of money just for the esc and bec, he also said alot of people use this kind of rig for airial photography and video due to the stability

I belive all these have been switch to spektrum rx's exept the big Lamas.
all at 2.4 ghz

I have a ton of extras and spares, Also have a ton of lipo batterys and battery chargers, at least 4 basic ones, and one really nice charger (Probably have more then 5)

also have many transmitters/controlers
spektrum dx6i
Futaba t6exhp
esky 2.4 tx
a couple others as well

Phoenix flight sim V3 with sim cable for dx6i (This is a fantastic sim that Ive used quite a bit for my planes)

at least 2 sim cables for the esky remotes

Honestley- too much to post without spending a day or so digging and inventoring

The guy who owns the hobby shop told me my brother had at least a couple grand before mods into these- but Im desperate would get rid of cheap. Would really like to package up all to one person, or most. Some need work, but anyone who is a serious hobbiest knows thats part of the game
I will also part out a coule if interested, the electronics, batterys gyros on these are really nice Ive been told- also I will send pics if wanted

sorry if this looks like babble- My muscle relaxers are making me shakey
Thanks
Bill

went through all his heli stuff

Post by BillyGoat »

heres an update on his heli colection
Ikarus eco 8 royal- HUGE(4foot plus blade span) heli copter, has box and spare parts- as far As I can see all electronics to fly-gyro, brushless motor, speed control, lipo, bec servos -etc main gear seems worn, has all high end castle creations and futaba and more elecronics. The box has a 80% complete helis worth of parts

Esky Belt CP- all electronics have been swapped out for higher quality align etc, has alot of cnc, carbon, and theres a buch of spares for this one, looks flight ready minus the tail rotor,-found spare tail assembly taped to the parts bag!

Blade 120 sr- has box- think this is close to new - flight ready- have box

Blade MSR- close to new as well - flight ready-

Blade mcpx -Have box (i know this is close to new because my brother was very excited about it a year ago right before he passed) one blade is broke, but theres a spare pair in the parts

Blade CX2- stuff into a vietnam era shell -flight ready

2 x ESKY big lama- only is complete, the other one, think all parts are there, looks like it was being converted to brushless as a project since it has brushless motors and speed controls

400 sized custom fixed pitch heli ( uses Honeybee head, and parts- cheap easy, has lots of spares)
This is bad ass for a fixed pitch heli - has blushless and more-fight ready

as far as I see, most of these helis have dsm receivers in them

Spektrum Dx6i Radio-box manuel
Futaba T6exhp radio-box manuel-original rx- so you can use on any heli or others
2 e-sky 2.4 6 ch radios
1 esky 7ch fm
also one blade mlp4dm (mot pictured)

all helis seem to fly on dsm, the most are on the dx6i

He has multiple lipo batterys for each heli, - see new pictures
chargers
iCharger 106b+
eflight blade celectra 4 port charger with extension charger adater for bigger batterys
elight celectra lipo chargers
(5)E-sky chargers -

tons of lipos for each heli and tons of spare parts 2 see new pictures

Well I know as much as you on these :) This is something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I would have no idea what to pick out of what you have and I know it would be a pain to sell one r two at a time.

So lets start with this, what would you take for all shipped to 71301??

thanx

nash, that proabaly more then you have to know, honestly I got the guy who runs my local hobby club to come in and he said it was worth over 3000-5000 if i was to part out the big ones and sell all the others seperatley on ebay. I really dont want to do that to dans fleets.
What I will tell you the ones I could fly with about 20 miutes of sime time were the esky red heli white the eflight blade electonics, the eflight msr, and the eflight blade 120 sr.

All three of those are great hobby class (not kiddy toy ) helis.
the red bubble one is a co axial (self stabelinging) and is fun,
The msr is a micro and is imcrdedibly easy to fly, and it can haul ass inside and make tight menuvers.
the blde 120sr is the next step, can be flown indoors and outdoors- flast.
The hobby guy said these three are desirable to beginners, and most vets have then because they are easy to fly, easy to work on, and recovery from crashes without tearing up everything like the bigger lawmower helis

Id package all 3 of these, The multiport elflight celectra lipo charger (charge 4 at once)
and all the batterys for them (id have to doeble check but there is 2-6 for each heli.

I would also include elflights basic spektrum dsm remote(it looks like a tou)
But the other facier radios are made for the crazy flying upside down helis (ones that the hobby shop said would be for pros only)

The remote it 2.4 ghz and only you have your unique code (spektrum dsm has revolutionied this, no more frequency problems with other flyers.
Id also pack any spare parts and blade I find in the stuff.

how 300 sound?. These helis Im getting emails every day about but I dont fell like having a bunch of creeps over to paw threw this stuff.

If I was to sell it all as a package, Id ask 1000+ and would throw in a team associated car he has, and couple heavy duty car battery chargers and all his other rc stuff, there is literally a ton of it.

These are both great deals, the guy told me the radios, batterys and chargers on the whole lot were worth 1000+ without the spare parts and helicopters!

Ok we have a starting point :)

first can you get a few pics of what is in the $300 deal??

and on the everything deal what is it you would throw in??

now lets take the $300 deal and add a big heli and a step up radio to it what would we have???

let me tell you my thinking here...I have wanted to get in to RC for some time now and as my wife can tell you when I do something I do it :) I have not done much with computers in a long time and my "computer room" just might be turned in to my "RC room" I am going to make a deal with you it just may take a little time.

thanx

Billygoat and Nash - I might be interested in a piece of this - on the beginner copter level - I've always wanted to fool around with this stuff but can't afford the $$ to buy new stuff. I'm also the guy who could be flying something like this in a 10 acre open field and manage to hit the only large rock in the field. :)

That's cool that they've finally figured out secure communications - I used to go down and watch the guys fly the big RC airplanes and biplanes and saw some ugly crashes caused by people doubling up on one channel.

You can PM me here or email at wvjohn [numeric one two three]@frontier.com

thanks!

Sorry Nash. long story short I had my first majorcomplEye data loss in 10 years. the school I Live at had a huge ministration change last year. we had a lightning strike on the building that I live in. the new headmaster also replace the whole IT department. and these new guys don't know me don't care to know me and sometimes I don't think I have much sense. the Lightning took out everythingas far as my main PCand NAS Goes. I Operate my own self contained Network because their firewall restrictions do not even allow me to view any kind of website that has to do with network securityor anything that looks like a student who might be trying to bypass the school security and proxy. needless to say I've paid for my own Internet even know internet part of our stipendand operated independent of them for years because of my need to be able to access information freeLy. so I lost my hard drive, my raId array is corrupted beyond repair. for the past 8 years I had an agreement with the old IT department. they had set up a sEvure ethernet Bridgethat back up my nas on a secondary network controller since my other equipment was not allowed on their domain. well too no knowledge of mine this summer they came in and replaced all the equipmentfor their network because they have a completely new IT administration and hEad of it. I was never informed that the bridge no longer backs up my NAS. all the equipment is still in place so I did not know anything changed but nowthat Bridge on fortunately does not go anywhere needless to say I lost all my data and I've been trying the best commercial recovery softwarebut the corruption is so bad it's a total loss. all my pictures documents etc cetera gone. I've been awake for 2&a half days straight. to top it all off I lost my cell phone the lightning strike as well. so right now I've been typing all of this my voice commandon a new unfamiliar cell phone so I do apologize if some of this does not make sense I cannot type long post like this on that tiny little cell phone keyboard. I'm going to try to take a little nap and then I'll get back to you. life just found a good way to kick my ass while I was already down in the dirt.
