I had some time and some spare LCD screen. So I made 3 external box the LCD. Im selling 2x of these.

Those are 20x4 Backlight LCD. The data is transmitted thru the Parallel port, so you need a free printer port. The Power is provided thru a USB cable, so you need one Free USB plug.

There is Led to display the status ON/OFF of the lcd. The box can be turn ON/OFF thru a switch mounted on the side.

This LCD is based on the most popular HD44780 controller, so it is compatible with all LCD software.

I have used many with success. But I mainly use CrystalControl.

Hey , run to your local Computer store and buy a used PCI printer port for 5-10$. Im sure they have one

EDIT : I saw some on eBay for 1-2$ + shipping.

you have any raw displays? i can wire it myself. I have a 4x20 but its not back lit and i would like to replace it with one. is it a Crystalfontz?
