Well a quick format won't get rid of any data stored on teh drive. A low level format does that. It formats everything on the disk to be 0's and is just about impossible to extract data off of after a format.

You are seriously asking why I low level formatted a drive with my files on it? Think about that and you will have your answer. Pred answered that question anyway.
