If he sells you a cable, ill sell you a kid to complete the router. When packets of data beed to goto various computers, the kid will unplug the cable and plug it into the other computer :-)

ummm no offense, but if you only have two PC's, get a couple network cards (unless you already have them or have built in ones) and buy a crossover cable. They are made to hook up directly. You would then need to set your IP manually for TCP/IP, but that is the easy part. Buy one from the guy up above or I can make you one as well.
