I have that exact same Teac 8/24 scsi cdr.

i'm waiting for it to die so i can get one of those new 32x burners, but it just wont quit. hehe. thats an awesome price for a great burner. I bought mine for like $150 way back when.

Skiing is great, and yes I still get to work on a snowmobile!

The TEAC drive still runs wicked, I just got one of those 32X write rigs for a great price, and thats the only reason I am getting rid of this TEAC, I paid alot for it new, best burner I have ever seen, I liked it even better than the old school plextor 8/20 drive.
