No upgrade, just replacement. My 1.4 has passed away. Don't ask.

What! no story? Just my Tbird "passed away"! C'mon Blade, you can do better than that :D As the Head Abuser, you have a responsibility to the rest of the community, when it comes to Abused Hardware.

I have been testing and reviewing all kinds of heatsinks and doing that I'd change many times. Some are heavy and some were a pain to get on. Plus I had done rather extreme oc'ing. Had the 1.4 over 1800, but that didn't last long. :D Then had it stable for a while at 1627, but after changing heatsinks some more times it wasn't as stable. It was like the more I changed the less I could oc it. And I am very careful when changing. And I also tested different thermal compounds which required more changing.

Then yesterday I get an sk6 in. Install it with this huge mutha godzillar fan and ..... lights are on but nobodies home. :( Try several things, reset cmos still notta. Take it out and notice a slight chip on a corner. Try again several more times and in another mobo, nothing. I was real careful installing the sk6 so I assume the core was just weakened from all the changing I've already done.

And btw, that lawnmower fan had dogs barking neighborhoods away.

We need tougher cpu's too, anything but these fairy tender cpu cores.

Prices added for some stuff. Those with no price are ft only.

Hope I didn't bite anyones head off last night. I was very aggrevated when I couldn't get the 1.4 going again. Tried everything, even mouth to cpu resuscitation. :D

17 hotties to meet sounds good pred. :)
