OT: Anyone haven't major delays with USPS?

I've got 2 packages i've been waiting since the 24th and the 25th for... Anyone else seeing major delays with them? Both sent priority mail. I just had a pacakge from Microsoft that took 8 days to get to me and they are a 3 hour drive from my house.... This is startin' to piss me off, when ya need it its late, when ya don't need it in a hurry it shows up 2 days after its sent....

Yeah, I know whacha mean, mail's pretty bad here in NYC as well

I guess I've been fortunate. The three packages I've sent over the past few weeks might have taken a day longer to arrive than what would be normally expected.

I received a pacakage on 10/1 when it was post marked 8/29.

Almost all my packages coming to me USPS Priority are taking from 4-7 days
Very bad lately.

USPS usually uses commercial passenger flights for a lot of mail, but since the 9/11 disaster, no mail was allowed on passenger flights. Maybe that's been changed now, but it really SNAFU'd the system for a while. A lot of places are still playing catchup, lots of airports still getting back to normal service too. It's affecting everything and will take a while to get straight again.

i'm waiting for a $670 laptop that was sent by USPS priority on 9/19/01 (not you vwkess).
however, its from a great trader, so i'm not worried about getting ripped, its just an annoyance that USPS seems to be dragging its feet when I paid $25 for 2-3 day priority.

Damn Sam! I'd get ahold of hte PO and demand a refund on the shipping thats rediculous... What gets me is FP sent me a Radeon and he sent it on tues the 12 of sept... It showed up on friday 3 days later... He's in Florida i'm in washington state. It took a package from microsoft a 3 hr drive for me 8 days to get here and its now day 9 and 10 on 2 seperate packages one from TX not sure where the others coming from... Nothing Still didn't show up today...GRRR

They are moving stuff out slow from the warehouse slowly and it's picking up. Just hanging there.

Yeah me too Terry, i got a system i'm building thats waiting on my 15 gig drive and i've got an impatient person on my ass about it...lol Hope it gets here tomorrow so i can get this built and get that 40 gigger in my comp...

Just dropped a package off at the post office today.
The lady told me still no mail on airplanes. Everything on trucks.
The rates have gone up also.
She said it will add a few days to normal delivery time.
