Here is a bump for you. I looked for one a few months ago, but gave up after about three weeks of nothing. I found a website (can't remember where) that demonstrated how to mount a HSF directly to the slug. I ended up doing that and made a VERY efficient CPU/HSF combo. Might want to search the CPU or Cooling forums over at Anands. I think that is where I found the link to the how-to site.

GVC makes one for the old slot1 celeron. I wonder if it would fit on a bare athlon.

I have no use for it, I'm an alpha to the core type of guy.
I keep Rocky's hardware busy buying all kinds of stupid stuff for adapters and vinyl screws and such
