Scott I see you there quite a bit and I respect you, but a mod should not lord his position over those who he is there to protect, (which Lametron takes every chance to do he can) and he has no respect for anyone outside of ARS IMHO. He is the 35 year old guy who knows everything, can do anything but lives in his parents basement and has never been out of the county he was born in. But that is their board and when this comes back to bite them in the ass (and it will) I will most certainly tell them so, as well as telling Caesar what a lameass Lametron is.

If those folks truly wanted to protect their membership they would work with other boards to acquire all the information they could and to put that knowledge to work for them, maybe snag some good ideas and talk to some people who have dealt with these situations before. I understand they want to keep their membership close and their own lil family, but then that means they would have to cut off new members and that would spell doom for them.

They are walking down the hallway of obsolescence the way they handle things there and they are going to lose memberships playing the fools like they are, and it will be our mods and AT's mods these folks turn to to help retrieve their goods when AGORA's mods prove ineffective as they will because they will just deny the problem or ban the people and that won't do squat to help those folks. I am truly not worried because I know Caesar is an intelligent individual and he will remove Leametron from modship there eventually, but hopefully it won't be too late for those folks over there. My .02 centavo's worth.

our deal was for a video card from me for cash. well, he came up with an excuse that his dad decided not to buy the card for him, this was after we were suppose to cross ship,(of course I cross shipped, he didn't) so I had to deal with stuff i had no use for. then he shipped 2 weeks late. his dad had the package at work and never sent it. by that point i was a bit upset, so i just took what i could.

I don't know about any of you, but a comment like this just reeks of flagrant misuse of power:
"In case you think I am joking, go ahead and post one derogatory comment about Blinkman or one link to past problems. I dare ya!"

And cleaning the slate of someone that is a known troll and allowing your members to take a risk of being burnt, while threatening them is completely unaccetpable.

Please understand, I do not know the specifics, nor do I frequent there enough to have a strong opinion.
I speak only of the behavior in leadership and management.

I may be wrong , but I predict havoc at that place with Lord Lametron running the show . His threats were pretty funny

He just emailed me saying he has a PCI winmodem for sale. I said I would NEVER trade with him ever again even if he ships first. No need to risk it, if there are other guys I can get my stuff from much more safely. MHO.

I post at Ars and they do seem to have an elitest attitude around there.I Have done a couple of deals there and all turned out well.But I dunno if I will in the future with Leavitron as a mod.

Maybe if forum goers get trolled a few good times maybe then they will be more willing to accept input/warnings in the future.Dont get me wrong,I wish nothing bad to anyone over there.My point is it shouldnt get to that point before one is willing to listen to folks who have already been down that road with these bad traders.

That is just it I do care about those folks ver there in that I do not want to see any of them ripped off by jdaves. And we know as an honest to goodness FS/FT board how trolls like that behave, they need to gain a little trust in order to make a decent score. Oh well I spose blade will be left to pick up the remnants when several of their people get screwed over and need help in recooouping, I mean the clown has already been weeks late on this last round of deals, how long can it be before he does the nasty to a half dozen of them, only time will tell.

You guys are taking this ARS thing a little too personally. ARS has a VERY strong record/history of trades going good. If somebody acted like an ass somewhere else, but is working diligently to change their rep elsewhere, then it is simply up to that board's mod to allow/disallow. If you disagree w/ a mod's decision, then buy elsewhere or from somebody else...but personal attacks?

Anyone trading on ARS, first and foremost, looks at the # of posts the guy has there and then looks at the beerology/heatware references. Then maybe even asks a few long-timers if they know of the guy. ARS trading board is meant to be a "smallish" community, so that you're not trading w/ strangers...anybody who does so, of course, does at their own risk. When you "know" with whom you're dealing, there should be very little risk.

Statements like this are ludicrous if not outright stupid:

HOW CAN A DEAL BE ANY SAFER THAN RECEIVING THE ITEM PRIOR TO PAYING??? What's he want, a 2 yr warranty w/ it?

We know your intentions are good here, guys. We know you want to warn everybody about the trolls. But posting personal attacks...? Not many mature people will take suggestions from you after these types of posts...

Peronally, I'd look to not trade w/ Blinkman, but so long as he was shipping first and nobody else was selling the product I was looking for....and at a good price, or course
