to enable 4 speakers support for Win98:

download, upzip, install driver set 1.91c
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/www/8x38/W9x/w9x191cfull.zip
upgrade to 1.93a
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/8x38/95-98-ME/ ... 3acupd.zip
click and run the C-Media Mixer in system tray to enable 4 speakers.

For Win2k, download this driver,
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/8x38/W2K/8738wdm536.zip
upzip to a folder you can find. When Win2k asks for driver, point it to that folder.
Note:4 speakers support is not included in driver set for Win2k. To enable it, download and unzip the 1.93a for win98,
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/8x38/95-98-ME/ ... 3acupd.zip
DON'T install it, just run the "mixer.exe" in the folder to enable 4 speakers support. You only need to do this once.
