EKKK!!! First post at PCA! I've never posted much outside of ArsForum, so be kind.

I'm going to start a repair business soon, I'll be needing a cheapass laptop with a 56k card and lan card to download and install drivers and all that goodness. What's a good price for a little repair shop laptop?

Look at the IBM thinkpads. I have 2 at work. You can get a P166mmx for 300ish. E-Bay generally is the best place to find them unfortunatly.

They are reliable as hell. We actually have 13 or so of them for people that wanna check thier lotus notes from home.

$300 bucks for a Thinkpad sounds good. I'm off to E-gay, your one stop shop for online fraud. Maybe I'll find someone decent with a good heatware record.

I have a Thinkpad 760XD, but I'm looking for $400 plus shipping. Its a 166MMX, 64MB of RAM, 2 3GB hard drives, 2 batteries, A/C adapter, CD-ROM, floppy (also have and external floppy for it), 1024x768 active matrix screen. It's in great condition, looks new. No OS installed on it though.
